Magnetic Product Description:

This neodymium disc has a diameter of 2mm and a height of 1mm. It has a magnetic flux reading of 5022 Gauss and a pull force of  63 grams. It is identified by the AMF magnet part number D-D2H1-N45.

Uses for our Rare Earth disc magnets:

These strong Neodymium disc magnets are made from N45 grade Neodymium material. Although these disc magnets are of a miniature size they are super strong due to the powerful magnetic N45 Grade material from which they are made. Permanent magnets come in a countless range of shapes and sizes including these tiny disc ones. They can also be used in multiples, allowing the user to add or subtract magnetic material to adjust the magnetic field to your needs. Although you may not consider these to be extremely strong magnets, they do provide superior heavy-duty hold compared to more traditional magnets like ferrite or ceramic magnets. If you are after a professional finish for your small craft projects, these small magnets are an excellent choice as they are easily hidden from view. Rare earth disc magnets are found in many electronic devices and are key components in all sorts of other modern products. The Neodymium magnetic material is nickel coated to provide resistance to corrosion and the silver or chrome finish can be quite appealing for aesthetic purposes.

Great Products

Very effective, I used them to hang festive lighting on our new metal framed verandah, they manage the job very well. This has negated the need to use a more permanent method which would have required many drill holes.

Excellent powerful tiny magnets

Purchased these 2mm magnets to replace lost magnets from a model kit. They have proven perfect for their purpose.

Very happy with all aspects if service and delivery.

Very useful

I used these in minatures to attach swappable weapons, they are small enough to fit inside the wrists, and strong enough to hold the weight of the weapons. I tried cheap Chinese magnets before, but they were just too weak, and also varied in strength drastically magnet to magnet. These are much better.

Perfect lil' magnets!

I build model kitsets for a past time hobby and I've used these tiny magnets on a few occasions, they're especially good for replacing mounting pins on sections of a model that interconnect or even replacing the screws for a display models battery compartment cover as the magnets have a very strong bond when placed in direct contact with each other but not too strong that you'll have too pry them apart.

They're small enough to hide in a section of a model where they will be unnoticed.

Very handy little magnets.

NB: Ranges are indicative for product category, please check individual products for specic values within that range.

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.

Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. AMF Magnetics specializes in the supply of short-run prototype magnets including Arc Segments, various magnetic orientations etc. If you need a magnet size that we don't carry in stock, submit a Design-a-Magnet enquiry for a quote on your custom magnet design.

Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.
