Magnetic Product Description:

This rare earth disc has a diameter of 20mm and a height of 5mm. It has a magnetic flux reading of 2817 Gauss and a pull force of 7kg. It is identified by the AMF magnet part number 20015

Uses for our rare earth disc magnets:

This shape enables fast and repeated removal by sheer force applied from the horizontal plane ie: sliding motion. It can be easily slid over the edge of a metallic surface into clear space but is not easily removed with vertical force. It is easily rebated into timber or fibreboard material and glued in place to make seamless joins or to allow components of a model or display to be quickly erected or dismantled.Other applications include metal detecting and separation and water treatment and conditioning.Neodymium magnets have superior strength to all other permanent magnets and this makes them very popular for use in clamping and holding devices.

Happy Customer

I have purchased these magnets to hold down work for our laser machine. The machine came with 4 magnets where I learnt that when snapping together, they break. So hunting for replacment I found difficult until I finally found AMF Magnetics. I searched on eBay, searched on Amazon and could not find the size I needed to work with the laser. So finally I found AMF and guess what, they had the size I needed.

Easy online purchase and the standard free delivery had no delays and worked well for me.

Thank you AMF.

Excellent

These magnets are the best. They hold up so much without effort and like other magnets no dragging down and falling off, they are so strong

Quick delivery of great product

These were delivered to me in NZ in 4 days from Aus. They were well packaged and great for the wine barrel stave knife racks I built using them.

NB: Ranges are indicative for product category, please check individual products for specic values within that range.

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.

Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. AMF Magnetics specializes in the supply of short-run prototype magnets including Arc Segments, various magnetic orientations etc. If you need a magnet size that we don't carry in stock, submit a Design-a-Magnet enquiry for a quote on your custom magnet design.

Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.
